Michal Korman

Michal Korman began his art education at the age of five when the Slovak academic painter Jozef Jelenak (working in the tradition of expressionism), admitted him to his courses for children at the school of art in Michal’s hometown, having formed Michal’s artistic foundations during three years.

In 2005, he manifested his specific style: a combination of graphic-like oil painting branded with the signature as a logotype. Since 2006 he has continued to develop his own style of traditional oil painting using figurative motifs and graphic design. Belgium saw him as one of the Committee of Regions Forum’s 100 Young European Creative People of Exceptional Talent Awardees in 2009 – the selection organised by Europe’s Creative Cities and Regions on the occasion of the European Year of Creativity and Innovation. Since 2012 he's started projects with museums and institutions (group and solo shows) - Italy, Japan, France. In 2016 he stared working with what has since become his signature themes: plants and flowers. Michal Korman is participating at the prestigious art fairs such as Art Basel, Art Tokyo, Art Geneva and Art SG, West Bund and others, presented by Pearl Lam Gallery. Michal lives and works in Paris.
